The Tynesider began as a university project, addressing a regional market never before touched upon. Although there are several regional lifestyle magazines available on the market, both free pick ups and those with a cover price, they all tend to be female orientated. Leaving us blokes to rely on national men’s lifestyle publications to get our fix, publications which are often pricey, rammed with adverts from front to back and more importantly their content tends to be broad, if not focusing on issues in the capital.

We aim to offer men in Newcastle the perfect outlet for issues which concern them.

Ideally, we would love to have hundreds and thousands of copies of our mag flying around the city, at several locations and all free of charge. But, until we find a publisher to take us under their wing, all of our content will be available on the blog.
